Quinceanera Budget?

Ok well my quince ( sweet 15 ) is in one year. I have a budget of $3,500. How can I have everything I want and still be on budget? I live in Chicago, Illinois. Well you know the must haves. dress, gloves, tiara, shoes, decorations, the chambelanes tuxs, invitations, and the banquette.

These are what i want..

1.) a dj that plays hispanic music

2.) photographer/video

3.) a small limo that takes us from church to buckingham fountain for pictures/videos

4.) Choreographer for the baile sorpresa (secret dance)

5.) Make-up artist and hair designer that could come to my house or thats close to midway airport?

How can I accomplish all of this and where can i find the cheapest???

Also where can i get a dress like this but cheaper because i really like it.

Quinceanera Budget?
You can have everything you want for your Quince celebration however, you will need to be creative and committed to the project in order to make it happen. One advantage you have is your Quince is one year from now.

That gives you time to plan and make your dream celebration become reality.

Start with making a budget for the $3,500 you have to work with. That%26#039;s still a lot of money.

The following is a

guide for your budget. Plus, ideas and tips - you can use when planning your budget.

Food/beverage/banquet hall 52% - $1,850

Photographer- 18% - $650 (I would check with a local college for a photography student to take your pictures. You can save a lot of money make sure you check out their work)

Flowers and decorations- 5% - $175 (Choose your color scheme. Go to the library and check out books for decorations and center pieces. Decide what you would like and then put a group of friends and family together to make them. This can be lots of fun.)

Cake-3% - $105 Have someone bake the cake for you or you can order a fancy cake from Costco at that price.

Music- 18% - $630. (This is where you need help to find a DJ who will work for this amount of money. With the economy the way it%26#039;s now. A DJ might want to have a booking on his calendar now, instead of being without a job later on) Many professionals charge from 25% to 40% less in off season for their services. A DJ usually owns his own equipment. So some income is better than no income-check with friends and get some referral names of DJ%26#039;s they like. There are also some very talented teens who just love being a DJ. Check out who plays at local school functions. Tell the DJ you will give his name to your friends who have bigger budgets than you do)

Invitations- 3% - $105. Using a computer and buying the paper on sale could cut your cost of the invitations. You could send e invites to computer savvy guests. Be creative.

For the Choreographer- find a dance student to be your choreographer. It%26#039;s back to the local college. I%26#039;m sure you will be able to find a few to choose, who would be happy to volunteer their services for you.

Make up artist: Locate a Mary Kay or Avon gal who specializes in weddings. Go on line and find the name of the local district manager for each company. I%26#039;m sure they can find someone who will work with you.

As to a hair stylist to come to your home- that can be difficult with your budget. You can always check with a local beauty school and they might be able to help you.

Everyones time is valuable. You have to think what is the benefit for the other person? If you can get them other clients and business they might work out a deal with you.

Limo%26#039;s are very expensive. They have high costs such as insurance and a minimum amount of hours for each driver. My recommendation is to find an alternative. Who do you know who have a van? Decorate the van with signs and balloons. That%26#039;s different and fun.

I left the Quinceanera%26#039;s budget for last. Because how much money you have to spend on your dress, tiara, shoes and misc. depends on how creative and how successful you are as you negotiate with the other vendors.

The dress you have a picture of is beautiful, but it%26#039;s expensive. My suggestion is to speak with the manager of your local Davids Bridal store. Tell her you are having your Quinceanera in a year. Ask her when does she mark down her sample gowns. Tell her what style you would like and let her know you would like to have first choice of the dresses when they go on sale. I%26#039;m sure she will be so impressed with your mature attitude that she will help you. Don%26#039;t wait for her to call you though. You will need to follow up with her. You can also check in with local bridal stores and ask them to let you know when they put their samples on sale. Of course don%26#039;t wait for them, you need to follow up.

Remember it%26#039;s not how much you spend on your celebration. It%26#039;s your attitude. If you are grateful for all you have and love what see in the mirror. You and your guests will have beautiful forever memories of your special Quinceanera celebration.

Wishing you the best and your dreams do come true.
Reply:Thats going to be a tight budget.

First, are you having a court?

Are you going to be paying for their tux%26#039;s and dresses, or are they?

Try to find private business%26#039; for the photographer/videographer. They will be the cheapest.
