Country Wedding Please HELP!?
I think a great centerpiece to go with your theme would be brow pots filled with sunflowers tied with a yellow and white checked ribbon around the pot.

A mini bale of hay with a few flowes tied on top with the bow going around the whole thing like a package would be cute too.

Also, cowbells on the table would be cute with %26quot;Ring for a kiss%26quot; tags on them! We had cowbells for our outdoor wedding and everyone loved them. More unique than regular bells. www.cowbells.com - look at the %26quot;bargain bells%26quot;. They sometimes sell them on eBay too.
Reply:yes, nice, go to Safeway and get your roses by the bucket, in the morning with a 24 hour notice for pickup. about 35 cents a rose this way too! yellow and white and one pink, that will all go nicely with the browns you have around. or use three roses and a brown satin ribbon on each table as a center pcs.

Congratulations!
Reply:How about some of these?

A long rectangular box....basically a ground level chicken feed trough, would be cute running down the middle of the table with flowers tucked into it. Because of the long tables a spread out arrangement or several round ones per table would look the best. I would buy sunflowers in bulk and go find all sort of different things to use as vases like, watering cans, wooden boxes, mason jars, chicken feeders, Enamelware tea pots, Old worn out cowboy boots....... A horse water trough with floating candles would be cute too.!

best wishes....................

For centerpieces, I think you should use potted Sunflowers with chocolate brown ribbon around the pots. These are cute too:

Reply:OHH country wedding so much fun! All your ideas sound great! I%26#039;m also doing a country wedding....I%26#039;m going to have sunflowers in milk cans, barbwire garland around the cake, and a candy bar with the colors of our wedding. We are having hay bails with mexican like horse blankets covering them. And horse shoes on the walls, lanterns hanging from the ceilings, bandanas for decor, old looking cowboy boots with flowers in them. Those are some of my ideas. here are some great sites...hope is helps...and congrats!!

Reply:I love it. I don%26#039;t think you need a bit of help, your idea for yellow centerpieces on brown tablecloths sounds awesome!

I wonder if you could get dandelions as filler flowers? (I have always hated it when people called them weeds.) But people might be allergic, I guess.
Reply:Brown sounds good. I did the flowers for a country wedding once and the bridesmaids carried sunflower bouquets tied to small hand rakes. The flowery hand rakes might make nice centerpieces for your tables.
Reply:Have you thought of making garlands or wreaths of sunflowers to hang on the walls, or from the rafters? It looks like you could get up there, though I might be wrong. You could also fill decorative baskets, or straw hats for centerpieces, or even decorate hats and bonnets and hang them on the walls? (I think the horns on the wall, in particular, could use a cute bonnet).

I also went to a wedding once - and I don%26#039;t know if you have access - where the family of the bride used huge round bales of hay stacked on top of each other (they did this outside, you%26#039;d probably need to use smaller ones for inside), and %26#039;dressed%26#039; them up as a bride and groom - complete with white sheets for a dress, a black tarp for a tux, painted oil drum lids for eyes, and dust bins for noses.

If you had access to smaller bales, for inside use, you could stack them in a couple of places around the dance floor, maybe next to the cake table (have you thought about having the cake decorated to look like stacked hay bales, and maybe have them make frosting sun flowers to lay on top or on the layers?) A little straw and sunflower petals sprinkled down the middle of the tables (where non-country weddings might sprinkle rose petals) might be a lovely touch, too.
